Jennifer Luce first encountered the work of British designer Georgia Dant during a trip to New York in 2024 and has been captivated ever since. Marfa Stance approaches clothing through sustainability, modularity, reversibility, and seasonless design—creating pieces that can be adapted, layered, and reimagined over time. The attention to detail and innovation are truly exceptional.
For the occasion, Nicole and Ryan of Hobbs Modern have composed the galerie around a shared exploration of modularity—and the idea that great design can be broken apart, rearranged, and reconstructed.
Restored modular pieces sit alongside unrestored examples by Percival Lafer, bringing vintage and contemporary design into conversation with Marfa Stance’s own modular approach to clothing.

Marfa Stance
British designer Georgia Dant started Marfa Stance in 2019. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, she spent years leading design teams at Burberry and Rag & Bone. Her early career inside the machinery of luxury fashion taught her how to create great garments that work, but also showed her how quickly trends rendered these pieces unfashionable. Her response was to develop a design system rooted in longevity and permanence instead.
Balancing precision, vision and a determination to make garments that bring endless joy to the wearer, Georgia has engineered the perfect collection of modular products. Endlessly adaptable, enhanceable and evolving, Marfa Stance is a jigsaw for living.
